  • In the slip, just returned from sailing The summer has barely just begun, with the best sailing still to come. Here is your chance to discover a whole new dimension to life in the Bay Area. This boat was my first bay sailing boat and I was amazed at how being out on the water seemed to transport me into some exotic vacation-land. Having always explored the bay from land, I never knew how much different things would be on the water. Not to mention, all the new places to discover.
This boat is docked in sought after Sausalito which makes a great home base for exploring the bay - Angel Island is next door, a quick hop over to SF city front, Tiburon, Alcatraz, etc. A Gary Mull design, the Santana 22 is a cruiser-racer built for sailing on the bay. The boat is in good condition and ready to take you and your friends sailing. It comes with a main sail, two jib sails, lines, anchor, life jackets, fire extinguisher, flares, rain jackets, ice chest, learn to sail book, cabin seat cushions, portable toilet, sail and tiller covers, fuel tank, and 8 HP Johnson motor. The motor worked fine sailing all last year, but now it has been difficult to start. A tune up should solve that problem. Friends visiting San Francisco Marina
New interior Some improvements have been recently made to the boat. First, the old blue color (which you can see in some of the pictures) was replaced by a soft pearl grey. Next, the inside wood bunks/seats was replaced and repaired. Additionally, the cabin has been completely repainted. I had planned on keeping this boat for a long time and was in the process of a complete remodel when my situation changed and I have to sell. The next area for refurbishing was the forepeak which mainly just needs a new paint job.
Owning a boat in Sausalito does not have to be expensive. The slip fee is $154 per month, which includes access to restrooms, showers, and laundry room. Other than fuel costs and occasional repairs or improvements, your costs should be quite limited. Ready to sail
